OSIsoft LLC named a Finalist for 2016 SAP® Pinnacle Award in the Internet of Things Partner of the Year Category
San Leandro, CA. April 20, 2016--OSIsoft, a global leader enabling operational intelligence, today announced that SAP has recognized it as a finalist for the SAP® Pinnacle Award in the Internet of Things Partner of the Year category.
The annual SAP Pinnacle Awards acknowledge the contributions of leading SAP partners that have excelled in developing and growing their partnership with SAP and helping customers meet their goals. Finalists and winners in 19 categories were chosen based on recommendations from the SAP field, customer feedback and performance indicators in the following umbrella categories: Build, Service, and Sell with each category including a Customers' Choice award, which recognizes a customer-nominated SAP partner.
SAP and OSIsoft collaborated to develop the SAP HANA® IoT Connector by OSIsoft (“Connector”), which effectively lets organizations integrate data from OSIsoft's PI System into HANA-based applications.
Deployed at over 19,000 sites worldwide, the PI System gives enterprises real time insight into the vital signs of manufacturing facilities, refineries, data centers and other machine-intensive operations so they can save money, improve productivity and make better decisions. Compatible with hundreds of data interfaces and software applications, the PI System captures operational data such as energy consumption, asset utilization or complex process flows and transforms it into rich, contextual information streams that can be easily accessed by engineers, plant managers, partners, executives or data scientists engaged in Big Data and advanced analytics initiatives, among others. With the PI System, data silos become a unified information source for analytics and productivity enhancing applications for digital transformation.
Over 1,000 leading utilities, 95 percent of the largest oil and gas companies, numerous government agencies and more than 65 percent of the Fortune 500 industrial companies use the PI System. Collectively, The PI System manages over 1.5 billion sensor-based data streams worldwide.
"We're extremely proud of this award and to be working with SAP,” said Aaron Pratt, Global Accounts and Channels at OSIsoft. “Collaboration with partners like SAP will help us fulfill our mission of giving people the tools they need to transform their world with data."
With the SAP Pinnacle Awards, SAP shines a spotlight on its most distinguished partners that have demonstrated their commitment to teaming with SAP to help mutual customers run simply.
