OSIsoft Honored with IoT Innovations Award
Connected World Magazine Selects OSIsoft for Geospatial and Streaming Sensor-Based Data Integration between Esri's ArcGIS Platform and OSIsoft’s PI System
San Leandro, California - June 11, 2015 - OSIsoft, a global leader in operational intelligence, was honored with the IoT Innovations Award from Connected World Magazine for its out-of-the-box integration between Esri's ArcGIS platform and OSIsoft's PI System. The unique innovation delivers streaming sensor-based data directly into ArcGIS geospatial maps to deliver a new dimension to decision making in the IoT space. Entrants were judged by an editorial board representing a cross section of industries and 26 products were selected for this recognition.
Deployed in over 125 countries at over 17,000 sites, the PI System is a leading enabler of IoT, capturing sensor-based data for industrial operations and delivering data to visualization and analytical tools to advance decision making. Today, just under one billion sensor-based data streams enabling real-time analytics and decision making are licensed through the PI System
The Esri-OSIsoft integration adds a new dimension to operational awareness. The new integration capabilities enable actionable insights and faster response times through the visualization of maps and time-series data streaming from sensors and equipment. Initial deployment by Dong Energy predicts a future savings of 20 M Euro by 2020. Through improved ability to get maintenance engineers to offshore wind farms safely, Dong Energy will have more uptime for their wind turbines and reduce the cost of maintenance.
