What's New in PI Security?
Digital transformation is changing the world. Along with the tremendous value to business, environment, and lifestyle there is heightened awareness of cyber threats. In fact, OT devices and networks are extremely vulnerable and must be protected. Security assessments of industrial systems continue to identify boundary protection as the highest defensive priority. This talk explores the PI System in a defensive barrier role while interfaces and connectors push operational data across the OT/IT boundary for access by enterprise infrastructure including ERP systems, business intelligence, and big data analytics. The latest architectural patterns and security features are highlighted. Modern defenses that apply to even our longest lived PI Interface programs will be demonstrated.
