OSIsoft is developing data services that expose time series data and asset information. By “data services,” we mean relatively simple services that return time series and non-time series data for both PI points and non-PI data sources. These services will allow you to reference the data of interest using such identifiers as PI tags and AF Element Attributes. You will be able to use these data services to construct high-level business services. This presentation will outline our data service design proposal and show how the services can be easily consumed by even basic web service clients like InfoPath.
