Vitens - From Data to Information
Two years ago Vitens gave a presentation at the OSIsoft User Conference about the business case and the architecture of their PI System’s project. Now Logica has completed a project together with Vitens to roll-out this PI System project at all locations within Vitens (>150 sites).
The presentation covers positive results of a multi-plant approach using the OSIsoft solution:

Peter Van den Heuvel
Peter van den Heuvel works for Logica in Business Unit Manufacturing IT. Within this unit Peter is the designated Single Point of Contact for all PI business in the global organization of Logica. During the last 10 years Peter and his team have done multiple successful PI projects in different businesses: Power Generation, Chemical, Water, Metals, and Traffic. His focus is that not only the technical implementation, but also the organization and business process component be taken into account during a project.

Gary Wong
Gary Wong is the Global Water Industry Executive at OSIsoft. Prior to joining OSIsoft, Gary headed the IT corporate applications department at Metro Vancouver, where he had the PI system implemented as a critical, strategic solution. He has extensive international experience providing sustainable, strategic and cost-effective business solutions particularly with Engineering and IT systems in the water and wastewater industry. In addition, he has worked with major international organizations in both the public and private sector on sustainability, IT strategy, planning, operations, and engineering. Mr. Wong holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, is registered as a Professional Engineer in Computer Engineering, holds an M.B.A. from the Queen’s School of Business and is also a Certified Management Accountant.
