Value Now: Using PI Data to Improve and Optimize Process Control (Panel)
Alton Loe moderates a panel discussion on the business value of loops that are working correctly. Audience participation required! Panel members include: Michel Ruel, TOP Control, and John Cunningham, Rovisys Critical process information is hidden in your PI data, both in the history of specific PI tags and in the historical relationship of related PI tags. By extracting and exposing this process information to engineering, maintenance and operations, many problems in process control can be identified and resolved. Reduction of process variability can allow operating at higher production levels while maintaining high quality.
This panel will focus on process control loop data that are stored in your PI System and how to extract and analyze the data to realize immediate benefits. The discussion will include identification of process control loops associated with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), techniques for analyzing the control loop data, and ways to use this data to implement process improvements and optimization. The panel consists of OSIsoft Partners and end users of PI.
