Using the PI Integrator for Business Analytics (BA) to Operationalize Predictive Analytics with Azure ML
ADM’s desire to transform process data to information that was applicable to all levels of the company culminated in the pursuit of an enterprise agreement. ADM is continuing this exciting journey and turning the information into intelligence leveraging PI Integrator for Business Analytics and Microsoft Cortana Analytics services on Azure to operationalize predictive analytics and improve process efficiency. In this session, the speakers will share how ADM is using the PI Integrator for Business Analytics with ADM’s AF Templates to cleanse-aggregate-shape-transport (CAST) the PI data and AF context to deliver an Azure Machine Learning ready dataset.

Scott Harmeier
Scott Harmeier is the Process Optimization Manager at Archer Daniels Midland (ADM). In this position, he leads a team responsible for applying optimization technology to ADM’s various process operations. Scott has been an engineer at ADM for over 15 years working in a variety of process engineering and process control roles. Prior to his current position, Scott was a member of ADM’s corporate engineering group where he developed company standards, supported existing facilities, and worked on construction and commissioning of new plants. During the first half of his career, he led the process control group at an ADM corn plant in Clinton, IA focusing primarily on plant modernization. Scott received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He currently resides in Columbus, NE with his family and enjoys woodworking and home brewing.

Priya has a Master’s in Computer Science and has over 20 years’ experience in engineering and management roles in the Data and Analytics technology space. At Microsoft, she owns building an ecosystem of software vendors for the cloud based analytics platform, Cortana Intelligence Suite.
