The BASF plant in McIntosh, AL manufactures hundreds of specialty chemicals, and compliance with environmental regulations is part of daily operations. The MON/MACT standard requires facilities that utilize MON to provide proof that permissible emission limits have not been exceeded utilizing Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT).
