Marathon Oil has presented the Maradrilltm project at previous Users Conferences, where we highlighted the advantages of using high fidelity data from the drill rig using the PI System to help reduce stick slip resulting a significant improvement in the rate of penetration and associated time from spud to total depth. Since first using MaraDrill™, PI, Coresight, and Spotfire we have been able to achieve a 50% reduction in drilling days over the last few years in one asset.
