This session will discuss and present techniques for using data collected by an Automatic Meter Reading System to improve operation and management of an Electric Distribution System. Specific examples include the use of PI system for Dynamic Load Management Modeling and Transformer Load Analysis Applications.

Glenn Pritchard
Glenn Pritchard has been with Exelon/PECO in Philadelphia for 17 years. He is Principal Engineer and responsible for developing new applications that leverage AMI Systems and metering data. Glenn is currently focusing on Smart Metering and the integration of AMI & Distribution Automation systems into a Smart Grid solution. Glenn recently received the 2008 Ed Malmesian Utility Best Practices Award for his work in AMI. Other areas of experience include transmission & distribution, substation automation and communications. Glenn specializes in finding new applications for existing and emerging technologies. Glenn graduated from Clemson University in 1990 with a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering. He is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania.
