OLE DB is a specification that provides an open standard for universal data access. PI OLEDB, being part of the PI Data Access Pack, implements this standard and allows a connection between PI and a wide range of relational database products. The new version of PI OLEDB is multithreaded and can be used in new scenarios like SQL Server DTS, SQL Server Reporting Services, OLAP, and IIS. This presentation will show how production and transactional data sources can be merged using these tools.
