Microsoft’s CEO, Steve Ballmer, in his 2012 letter to shareholders stated that Microsoft is a devices and services company. The devices, of course, are powered by Windows 8. The services include Dynamics, Office, Exchange, SharePoint, and Lync. Dewey will discuss these services and the move to the cloud.

C. Dewey Forrester, Jr. is senior director for the Global ISV Partner team in Microsoft’s Server and Tools business division. He is responsible for identifying and investing in global ISV partners that wish to accelerate commercial adoption of Microsoft’s latest technology.
Over the past 10 years, Dewey has led various technical, marketing and business development teams to help Microsoft secure the future of the platform through ISV partners. He has also championed several strategic initiatives that have resulted in key changes in how Microsoft partners with top Global ISV companies.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Dewey spent 15 years in process manufacturing where his responsibilities ranged from new product development to global sales and technical leadership. He is a 1984 graduate of Georgia Tech’s school of engineering. Outside of work, Dewey tries to spend his free time in the gym, waterskiing, or playing the piano for various charity events.
