Traditional power industry generation assets are under great pressure to maximize efficiency and minimize cost. This presentation will outline how Luminant accomplished both by utilizing PI AF to consolidate thermal performance applications within their generation fleet. Prior to consolidation, Luminant utilized three different applications deployed across 12 sites to monitor thermal performance of their coal, natural gas and nuclear generation assets. We will discuss lessoned learned on hierarchy structure, using substitution parameters for scale and speed of deployment and template consolidation to fully leverage PI vision comparison capabilities. We will also demonstrate the benefits of this approach in PI Vision.
