MOL’s Refining Segment implemented the PI System in 2012 to solve various business problems. Using the PI System, MOL is able to structure available real-time and static data to provide opportunities for deeper analysis. These data assets are used to solve various business problems from rotating equipment performance analysis to utilizing PI Notifications with systems and operating staff to bring actionable information to users. This presentation discusses how the PI System upgrade brought the real-time information closer to the users and provides MOL with more opportunities to achieve operational excellence.
