The OSIsoft Product Development Roadmap: A SEA Change
The Product Development Roadmap is more than just a product plan for our engineering department and the RtPM Platform. It is the core element of our company plan. Every department in the company will be able to plan their strategies based upon the product plan. Operations will know about changes in the product line and have some expectation of how different products will have to be ordered, processed, and managed for delivery to customers. Marketing will be able to define, price, and build campaigns around the product plan. Engineering will be able to create their engineering plan based on the strategic direction and requirements as stated in the product roadmap. Sales will know what’s in the product pipeline from the roadmap and also from marketing. All this presents a unified message to the customer. At its essence, the roadmap exists to communicate a consistent, forward looking message to our customers so that we can build long-term, stable relationships that deliver value now, and value over time.
