The Integration of the PI System and SAP to Enhance Asset Planning
Over the last 2 years Contact Energy, OSIsoft and Dimension Software have worked closely to implement the integration of data exchange between the PI System and SAP. The use of Web Services was crucial to this integration. The project involved considerable work with each of the Contact generation sites and the many PI Systems installed throughout the corporation. This joint presentation will chart the key choices, benefits and adventures experienced along the way.

Gutti Gudjonsson – Production Engineer C & I. He has worked in Power Generation industry 25 years, with 20 years on gas fired, steam driven turbines and 5 years on combined and open cycle gas turbines. Previously 6 years in Oil and Gas industry, I & E with 20 years exposure to the PI System, 15 years working with the PI System.

Roland Rich
Roland Rich is a Software Engineer at Dimension Software. He has an electrical engineering background with eight years of experience in the field of industrial data networks, telecommunications and software development. At Dimension Software he works closely with clients as a PI System integrator, covering everything from developing bespoke software solutions to running the PI System training sessions for end users. Dimension Software is a PI System Integrator in New Zealand, and has a been a partner with OSISoft since 2008.
