RHI is a globally operating supplier of high-grade refractory products, systems and services. Some figures: roughly 8,000 employees, about 30 production facilities, more than 70 sales offices, more than 10,000 customers. Starting in 2006 with the PI System from OSISoft, we have widened our fields of usage and use it for a vast range of tasks and problem solving. The list of applications is very long and is growing almost daily. One of our strengths is the strong and innovative internal support team looking for best practices, improvements and new solutions. The application is located at OT and the system agendas are covered by IT. This guarantees an optimal connection to all stakeholders. The digital transformation of “Industry 4.0” increases the demand for reliable data and powerful analyzing methods. We are used to working with our data. And with the existing and new tools provided by OSISoft, RHI will continue its optimization.

Thomas Reiterer
Thomas Reiterer graduated from the Mining University of Leoben in 2004, where he studied Applied Geoscience. After which, he started to work at a Consultant Company for Processing and Geology.
In 2008, he started at RHI in the Department of Process Technology which is located at R&D. He has been the Head of the Department there since 2012. His task as a project manager, is to analyze and improve the processing steps for mixing and pressing. Additionally, Thomas is responsible for the Process Information Management System, where PI System Tools have been used since 2007. Together with one colleague, he covers all parts of their usage of the PI System. This includes interface to IT, tag administration, internal support & expert analysis and improvement of our applications.
