Syngenta’s Enogen® business has only been using the OSIsoft PI system for less than 2 years but has already made it a core and integral part of the strategy for rapidly growing this new, but critically important Syngenta business. The presentation will review the transformational journey that the Enogen team has taken which has involved the use of many of the newest OSIsoft PI and Microsoft technologies, including Windows Azure, Asset Framework and Event Frames. Syngenta recently also embarked on a new license agreement to provide Connected Services to stakeholder plants. This allows the Enogen team to leverage the PI work originally being done for internal use with the plants that provide the data and to share the managed information using the PI suite of analytic, reporting and visualization tools. The Connected Services approach is currently being piloted at a key ethanol plant stakeholder.
