Virtually all economic production and industrial processes depend upon access to abundant water. Yet patterns of increased water use and lower levels of replenishment regionally and globally present a worrisome trend for business and society at large. Industry is recognizing the systemic risk brought on by these imbalances and the potential negative impacts on their profits and continuity. Increasingly, the sustainability strategies of leading companies reflect a new awareness of this risk and a desire to do something about it. This presentation highlights the value of real time data in managing water in an industrial context and the value this contributes to achieving the sustainability goals of OSIsoft customers from across industries.
