Standardizing on the PI System Infrastructure in Iberdrola Renewables' Business
Thanks to the OSIsoft Enterprise Agreement (EA) plus the standard IEC and in-house expertise, a standard PI System has been able to be implemented at Iberdrola Renovables to centralize all relevant information from assets around the world. Once this PI Collector was built and running, new indicators to analyze performance of a wide variety of assets have been implemented; this results in better and more controlled operation of each asset. This wouldn’t have been possible without standardization and it is thanks to this that value has been obtained out of the collected data. Also, the architecture of each PI System in the company has been improved over four years. As a result, communication problems and incidents on the PI Servers have decreased significantly.
