Seeq is a provider of self-service advanced analytics, reporting, and collaboration. The life-blood of data analytics is data, of course. Seeq excels with high speed, low latency Unfettered access to data; this level of is not a given, many things conspire to slow or prevent access. Things like:
o Old, slow, and vulnerable protocols
o IT compliance and governance standards to meet
o Inelasticity of on-premise hardware and other systems
The OSIsoft Cloud Services (OCS) is a natural extension of OSIsoft’s on-premise real-time infrastructure; securely, and with high performance, providing access to data for high-value applications like Seeq. In this presentation Seeq will cover the technical details of connecting Seeq to OCS. The details include architectural considerations, information security, and the coupling of the Seeq REST APIs with the OCS APIs. Of course, OCS needs to get data from somewhere. Devon Energy is co-presenting to explain how data from data center hosted PI Systems are moved to OCS. In this section of the talk we’ll cover:

Dustin is the Chief Architect, and a founding partner, at Seeq. His career has ranged from real-time spacecraft data processing, to networking technologies and robotic aircraft, and finally focusing on time series analytics. In his role at Seeq, Dustin oversees the design and implementation of all facets of the technology stack.

Don Morrison is a senior real-time data engineer at Devon Energy in Oklahoma City, OK. In his role, Don and his teammates integrate data from the PI System into numerous business systems that enable operational intelligence across five operating areas. Don came to Devon Energy in 2014 and has 15 years of experience in engineering, software architecture, and automation system design.
Don holds a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University.
