PI Coresight was renamed PI Vision in 2017
RtDuet is an application—built entirely on top of the PI System—that automatically detects downtime and slowdown events in industrial plants. Once these events are detected, they are presented to the operators for further classification and validation. RtDuet allows the user to configure their own Time Usage Model and Reason Tree, so once the events are validated, key performance indicators like availability, utilization and OEE can be calculated using the RtDuet classified events and PI ACE.
RtTech was the first company to release a version of a commercially available product that used the CTP release of PI Event Frames. RtDuet AF, our latest version built using PI AF and PI Event Frames, has been working in a production environment since December 2010. RtDuet's source for real-time and historical information is only the PI System. RtDuet stores its entire configuration, asset hierarchy, reason codes and TaxonomyItemHtml categories in PI AF using PI AF templates extensively. PI EVENT Frames and templates are also used to model the information to be stores every time downtime or slowdown events occur. Since all the RtDuet information comes from the PI System and is stored in the PI System, RtDuet integrates seamlessly with all the PI System products like PI Notifications (used to alert our uses when there is a new downtime or slowdown event), PI ProcessBook, PI WebParts, PI Coresight used to build any monitoring dashboards or to trend the information), and PI ACE (used to calculate the desired KPIs).
RtDuet includes a Web service that allows the user to export all the downtime events stored in PI Event Frames to a third-party system, such as Excel, so it can be combined with PI DataLink to build powerful custom reports. The Web service can also be used to display the downtime events inside a PI WebPart. RtDuet has an iPad and BlackBerry app that allows users to access the event data stored in PI Event Frames from their portable devices.
