RESTful Web Services Coming to the PI System with OData - Intro
This presentation will introduce a new offering that will be making its way to PI Web Services: a RESTful web service--or, more specifically, an OData web service. Due to their data-oriented nature, REST web services offer a different paradigm than traditional SOAP web services and they are gaining a lot of popularity application development space - particularly in the mobile device and cloud arenas. Various other systems also started to embrace OData as a means to easily integrate. This presentation should be coupled with the RESTful Web Services Coming to the PI System with OData hands-on lab.
