Remote Monitoring & Optimization for Air Liquide Plants using AF/EF

The World Business Line 'Large Industries' (LI) provides Air Liquide's customers with industrial gas solutions essential to their own production, as well as technologies that deliver performance and energy efficiency. Thanks to OSIsoft PI technologies, the remote operation control center, near Lyon, has a nationwide vision of customer needs for oxygen, nitrogen, argon and hydrogen. Like a control tower, the workflows of each unit are monitored & adapted in real time to the needs of each customer. The production & delivery of gases to customers are optimized throughout the country. Algorithms devised by Air Liquide engineers are used to fine-tune equipment adjustments in 22 plants to optimize energy consumption, leveraging 15 years of data gathered from all industrial site

Moussa Diakhite
Moussa joined Air Liquide France in 2016 as a Production Optimization Engineer for Air Liquide’s newly created ROCC (Remote Operation Control Center) in Lyon (France) after having started his career at Exxon.
In his current role he works on the definition and creation of new tools for the ROCC.
Moussa is an active member of the community of practice around the PI System within Air Liquide and an early adopter of PI AF within the Group. He is part of the working group in charge of the definition of Data Structure & Calculation standards in preparation for the global deployment.

Irene Lotero
Irene graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2014 with a Masters in Chemical Engineering. She joined Air Liquide in 2015 as a researcher at the Delaware Research and Technology Center and worked on topics related to mathematical optimization. Since January 2018, Irene is part of the LI Fab in the digital transformation team based in Paris, France. Her main mission is to accelerate the deployment of decision-support tools within the SIO (Smart and Innovative Operations) program.

Working from Alizent's office in Madrid, Luis's main mission is to extend Alizent's reach EMEA wide, promoting Alizent's expertise and experience for delivering Innovative Technological solutions to the Industrial sector.
