This paper presents a, "Real-Time Wind Power Portfolio Manager (RT-WPPM)", developed by Prasentia LLC, from the Owner/Operator perspective to portfolio based wind power operation and performance management. The product is based on the PI core technologies of PI-OPC, PI-SDK, Unit Batches, Module Database, ACE, etc. Applications are developed using ICE, Visual Studio .Net, and Crystal Reports.
Our current PI system consists of 20,000 points (will be 50,000 before we present), more than 500 Units, and over 1,200 sub-modules. The units are spread across 10 wind projects in Oregon, Wyoming and California. The salient features of the product are:
- Access to Real-Time monitoring and performance wind farm data for the life of the project.
- On demand Reporting and Analysis of Wind Farm Key Performance Indexes
- Downtime Monitoring and Analysis
- Web Based Access to Data and Reports.
