Real time and historical data are two key factors in engineering and operation management. The ability to utilize such data as well as capture the experience and knowledge of those working on complicated processes and jobs will take performance to a higher level of excellence. In our continuous pursuit of new methods and tools to support and improve our operations we have developed a number of solutions based on the concept of proactive dashboards.
This concept has great potential for adding value to the performance, from large plants down to single assets or whatever performance envelope you are targeting. Creating and deploying such solutions using tools as PI-UDS, PI-PE, PI-ModuleDB (eventually PI-AF), PI WebParts, PI ACE, PI Notifications, etc. is our strategic ambition, one that will help perfectly utilize the core infrastructure of the real time and data historian systems at Saudi Aramco scattered over 100+ plants and sites. Examples of environmental and energy monitoring and management applications will be shown.
