PI System Management Tools (PI SMT)
Successful management and monitoring of systems is of critical importance to today's enterprise, not only to reduce costs, but also to pinpoint problems and to ensure the high levels of server and system availability necessary in today's business environment. PI System Management Tools are a set of Microsoft Windows-based graphical applications that provide a centralized management of distributed PI Systems from Client PCs. In this talk we shall describe our latest offerings including PI Module Database Editor and PI SDK based Tag Configurator. And finally we shall provide insights of our new.NET framework based web-based monitoring and administration of the PI System.

Prabal Acharyya has over 10 years of experience in implementing advanced computing applications in process industry. Prabal has a Master’s degree in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence specialization) from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. His current interests include developing a .NET based framework for distributed system management of the PI System. He is always interested in meeting customers and discussing all sorts of issues.
