PI System Innovations for the Connected World
Ray Hall will present the PI System roadmap and explain how the roadmap and OSIsoft's engineering plan are being driven by the challenges facing customers today. Ray will also invite, David Krenek, from Caterpillar, to explain how his Global Petroleum Group is already leveraging many of these capabilities while looking forward to how OSIsoft's engineering roadmap will help solve many of the huge challenges that his business faces.
As one of OSIsoft's customers, David Krenek will explain how his Global Petroleum Group is already leveraging many of these capabilities—while looking forward to how OSIsoft's engineering roadmap will help solve many of the huge challenges that his business faces. Large scale, real time performance and health monitoring is made possible today at Caterpillar by the PI System’s capabilities to collect, process, deliver and visualize data as never before.
By leveraging the asset-centric capabilities of the PI System, the value of Caterpillar’s fleet-wide condition monitoring of its remote assets will continue to grow. These efforts could be enabled by the capabilities of PI Server 2012, the PI Visualization Suite, PI Event Frames, next generation analytics, and OSIsoft's extension of the PI System infrastructure into the cloud with PI Exchange Services.
