The PI system is currently being used in operational silos within many energy and utility operations. However, many integrated energy and utility companies with generation (including multiple fuel types), transmission, distribution, natural gas storage, natural gas pipelines and customer operations (resale and wholesale) are using the PI System in multiple parts of their operations. As a result, they are able to transform data into information for improved decision analysis across the enterprise, including capital investments, operation and maintenance costs, grid stability and customer service.
