This talk will provide an overview of the benefits and importance of using the PI System as the enabling infrastructure for Manufacturing Intelligence initiatives. It will cover the roles that the PI System plays in collecting, historizing, and abstracting both manufacturing plant floor and related business data and managing this information across the enterprise. PI AF will be highlighted in the context of providing standardized access to a variety of diverse data sources for Manufacturing Intelligence initiatives.
