Alcoa's Warrick facility is leading the company in its use of PI System data to provide exceptional insight into its key systems. One of the most critical systems is Power Generation. Warrick uses the electricity generated to both produce aluminum and to participate in the Midwest ISO energy market. Major impacts can be felt if the Power Generation is not closely tracked. To do that, Alcoa commissioned RoviSys to create a custom iPad/iPhone application designed to give full visibility into the state of its Power Generation, as well as related KPI's from anywhere in the world. Mr. Helms will review the app and how it leverages PI System data, as well as give some insight into how it's been received within the Warrick facility, and the impact it's had throughout the company.
