A detailed description of the design and operation of the PEMEX Gas Emergency Control and Monitoring System will be presented, including an explanation about how PI supports real time information and the benefits of this system. PEMEX Gas is a subsidiary of the state-owned petroleum company in Mexico. PEMEX Gas is in charge of gas processing activities and operates over 10 processing plants throughout Mexico, producing 4 BSCFD of natural gas and 220 MBD of LPG, as well as other petroleum derivatives such as ethane, sulfur and naphtha.
