Tom Hosea presented the product roadmap for PI servers. New product releases enhance the values of PI system: scalability, availability, reliability, extensibility, security and interoperability. PI High Availability reduces system downtime by adding redundant PI servers. In case of system failures, PI High Availability will automatically transfer workload from primary PI server to a secondary PI server so end users will not experience down time. PI AF 2.0 succeeds PI Module Database to help businesses better organize their data. PI AF 2.0 apply context to the data through models, elements and objects. With AF 2.0, assets and models become basis for consistent and faster visualization and analysis of vast amount of data. As a continuation of RtAlerts, PI Notifications provides a scalable and highly available notification and alarming infrastructure for the enterprise. PI Notification is integrated in PI Processbook, ACE, PI Module Database, PI DataLink and PI System Explorer. Smart Connectors reduce the integration effort between PI system and foreign system. The goal of Smart Connectors is to achieve zero management effort and new-zero installation and configuration effort for foreign systems on PI infrastructure. DataLink for Excel Services adds PI DataLink for Excel functionality to the web. Users can now access their spreadsheets with PI data on the web without the need to install PI DataLink or Microsoft Excel. PI Batch provides visibility and analysis to batch process. RtReports is a web-based reporting architecture to provide real-time reporting for regular or compliance reporting.
