PI ProcessBook 3.1: Notifications, Annotations and U(I)
PI ProcessBook 3.1 shows your subscribed Notifications in a docked window. You can click on a Notification to 1) set the display time context from the selected Notification, 2) acknowledge a Notification or 3) open any ProcessBook displays associated with a Notification. The new details pane allows users to see and annotate data in dynamic symbols, to view point attribute information, and to export PI data to Excel or the clipboard. New to trending in this version of ProcessBook are vertical trends where time is on the vertical axis. On all trends, individual traces can be hidden or shown. Linear regressions and trend statistics via tooltips are now provided. The ProcessBook look and feel has been updated to match with today’s most common Microsoft desktop software: Windows XP and Office 2003. Significant user interface enhancements have been made to formatting symbols to improve ease of creating and editing displays, including a new formatting toolbar and a format painter function. Several dialogs have also been redesigned.

Chris Coen
Chris is a Product Manager for the ProcessBook product grouping as well as the Event Frames (Batch) products. He has worked for OSIsoft since 1998 and for several years was the software development lead on both the BatchView and ActiveView products. He has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. In his spare time he plays guitar and taiko drums and you may have seen him playing these at a previous OSIsoft User Conference.

Andy Singh
Andy Singh is a senior software developer with OSIsoft in the clients group. As a software developer, he originally started with the interface group working with the full suite of OPC products for three years before moving to the clients group. Currently, Andy is the lead developer for ProcessBook and is also involved with the XML interface. Andy has a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
