In this presentation, RasGas describes their PI System, which they call RTIS (Real Time Information System), and how they use it in the export of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Qatar. RTIS is an information hub which connects directly or indirectly to almost every other system within RasGas; it also connects and captures data from third party systems at customer companies within Qatar. This presentation shows the central role RTIS plays in data automation at RasGas and how the role of RTIS is critical in ensuring the data flow and data integrity of all field systems connected to the RasGas SAP financial system. RTIS performs many additional, useful applications such as compressor monitoring, tank leveling and laboratory data analysis.
