Daniel Lopresti
Daniel Lopresti is a Professor and Chair in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Lehigh University. His research examines fundamental algorithmic and systems-related questions in pattern recognition, data analytics, and computer security. He has published over 150 papers in journals, refereed conference proceedings, and holds 24 U.S. patents. Dr. Lopresti received his Bachelor's degree from Dartmouth in 1982 and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Princeton in 1987. He arrived at Lehigh in 2003 after having spent time on the faculty at Brown and on the research staffs at Panasonic Technologies and Bell Labs. In 2014-15, he served as Interim Dean of the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science and in July 2015 was named Director of Lehigh's new Data X Strategic Initiative.
