Our Journey with OSIsoft's PI System for University Education and Research
Queen's University Belfast was one of the first educational establishments in Europe to be awarded an OSIsoft Education license back in 2008. This talk will illustrate how the engineering students have been able to utilize the full range of software tools as part of their undergraduate teaching experience. In addition to teaching, the talk will describe how this long term relationship with OSIsoft has enabled new research links to developed with electrical utility companies across Europe.

Michael Cregan
Dr Michael Cregan is a lecturer at Queen's University Belfast in the School of Electronic, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He has over 25 years experience working with electrical utility companies in the United Kingdom and in recent years he has utilised the PI System to develop research in wind generation in Ireland and Scotland.
