The PI-NetFlow Interface and PacketCapture program are OSIsoft's latest products for helping monitor a data communications network. These two programs give users detailed information regarding network activity. In particular, they can measure and store into PI the source and destination of Internet-related traffic that traverses a LAN. Eric Tam, from OSIsoft's interfaces development group, will present PI-NetFlow and PacketCapture from both theoretical and practical perspectives. That is, Eric will describe the technical details of these programs. Eric will also talk about some of the specific solutions (such as the management of OSIsoft's own network) that PI-NetFlow and PacketCapture can provide.
