This talk has two parts, the first is an example of a University using PI for research and curriculum and their pathway to success. Carnegie Mellon has been using the PI System for many years in research and curriculum. They started small and slowly built from there and now use PI in many research projects and classes. The second part focuses on how OSIsoft partners with Universities on Grants. OSIsoft helps by providing in-kind donations of software, services, and training. Three examples of grant partnering are also reviewed.
