This presentation will show how AEP has leveraged the PI System to optimize its wind generation resources. The presentation will focus on the PI-OLEDB COM Connector, which enables power dispatchers to graphically view historical and future wind forecast data against historical and real-time wind generation. Other OSIsoft products that will be discussed include the PI-OPC interface, PI-ProcessBook, and VBA for PI-ProcessBook. OSIsoft customers will learn how to collect, integrate and present wind forecast and generation data in a way that assists power dispatchers in optimizing their wind generators.
