Optimizing Global Deployment of a PI System Infrastructure with an Enterprise Agreement
The globalization of the OSIsoft PI System architecture and deployment is the solid base for business value. Starting from the deployment of the PI System in the past, the talk will walk through the journey to a global approach for PI System implementations under the umbrella of our SPIRIT initiative. Carl Van Laer
Carl Van Laer has been working in the IT manufacturing space for more almost 30 years as a system architect, program, and project manager. He has been with Janssen Pharmaceuticals for eight years where he manages the OSIsoft PI System and MES application deployment for Janssen Supply Chain. He is currently based at the Beerse site in Belgium and is the application owner of the PI System platform where he works on standardizing system architecture, deployment, and support. Prior to working with Janssen, Carl was with Egemin (System Integrator) and Hoogovens (Metal industry) – always working in the ISA-S95 L3 and L2 landscape. Carl has a Bachelor in Informatics. His hobbies include revamping his house, fishing, and reading.
