The Agrium Nitrogen Operations is a Kellogg design, 1300 TPD ammonia plant which has been in operation since 1964. By employing the MVC® 3.0-Ammonia, the multivariable advanced control technology from Continental Controls, Inc., the plant is operated more safely and smoothly. More importantly, increased profit is obtained with the MVC system in operation. The ammonia product increase is 1.5%, and the energy consumption decrease is calculated at 1.5.
