How can we build simple, smart tools that deliver tremendous value to everyone across our organization? TransCanada recently developed OpsVision to expose real-time operating conditions to Operations personnel using PiVision. By leveraging the existing structure in Asset Framework, as well as PiVision templates, collections, and custom symbols, we generated hundreds of dynamic screens to display information relevant to Operations personnel. This efficient, scalable approach enabled us to easily create and maintain the platform. Within a two-month period, using only one full-time resource, OpsVision was created and released, bringing valuable data to the fingertips of hundreds of users across our organization.
In 2019, TransCanada changed its company's name to TC Energy to better reflect the scope of its operations across North America.
