Operational Intelligence Infrastructure for Water Supply Services - Detroit Water and Sewerage Department
PI Coresight was renamed PI Vision in 2017
Detroit Water has been leveraging the OSIsoft PI System since 2011. During this time, the latest PI System software including PI Coresight and PI Asset Framework have been implemented to optimize process control, increase efficiencies, and to automate and enhance reporting, resulting in about half a million dollars in savings to date. This presentation will discuss how energy and efficiency savings are on track to save millions of dollars over the next 5 years as well as improve environmental compliance, reducing combined sewer overflows and reporting. The increased use of the PI System, its growing importance as an infrastructure, and future plans will also be discussed. The successes are not only within the Water Department but also across the rest of the corporation.
