The actual PI Ssytem architecture is a powerful framework for the development, governance and continuous improvement of operational and asset intelligence. Real time KPI and process pattern identification can be used for advanced operation and asset management, examples are early fault alerts and process deviation detection; anticipation can be enhanced by the proper identification and monitoring of the TaxonomyItemHtml causes. The presentation will show a reference architecture (PI-AF and PI-ACE) for the implementation of advanced multivariable process and asset behavior monitoring, with examples from the mining and power generation industry.

Luis Yacher is an Electrical Engineer, he started his career in process control systems. In the last 15 years he has been working in the implementation of PI based operations&asset management systems, mainly for the basic resources industry. He is the manager of CONTAC , a company based in Chile that provides implementation and support services for plant operation management systems, powered by the PI infrastructure.
