Energy Management System (EMS) contains structural asset information which can provide valuable context to PI data. PI AF provides the services necessary within the PI System to store and manage this metadata, but how are the two connected? ONS, theSystem Operator in Brazil, will present an overview of the technology used to link PI AF with their EMS model database, and the benefits that this link brings to their system.

Matt joined OSIsoft 6 years ago at the inception of the CoE and the EA program. He is an electrical engineer with a masters degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Previously Matt worked with PJM, helping them to build one of the largest PI System infrastructures in the OSIsoft install base. He also has experience as a process control systems engineer working with Emerson controls.
