Jim Davidson
Jim Davidson joined OSIsoft in Spring 2012 after a 34 year career in the DoE laboratory environment including stints at Idaho National Laboratory, Argonne National Laboratory, and Los Alamos National Laboratory. During his tenure at INL, Jim worked in the Critical Infrastructure Protection and Resiliency group and affiliated with the National SCADA Test Bed as the first Principal Investigator for Cyber Security research of Industrial Control Systems. This program included cyber security testing of the PI System in 2005 and 2011. In addition to cyber assessments, he was involved in developing industry awareness and best practices relating to the Cyber security aspects of control systems such as instruction of NERC certified training course material. During his DoE career, Jim has authored a long list of technical publications and is credited with 10 patents. In 2011, he submitted 7 patent idea records and filed one provisional patent application in support of “Sophia,” an Industrial Control Systems centric communication visualization and whitelisting tool.
