MobilARIS and PI Integration (Barrick)
Imagine being able to visualize your underground mine; to monitor, in real time, where your equipment and all operators are located. Being able to access historic data; to use that data to create reports, analytics, even trackers. That’s what we have accomplished by integrating MobilARIS and PI. MobilaARIS provides a 3D real-time information model that includes the position of machines, vehicles and personnel as well as the capability of integrating many other information sources. Using passive RFID tags, equipment can be tracked in a cost-efficient way. Users were requesting analytics and reports generated using the data that MobilARIS was gathering. Unfortunately, the historic data we were able to retrieve was restricted to the last 30 days. We needed to find a solution that might be able to read all the data from MobilARIS, integrate it with the functionality to create custom analytics, events, and notifications, and be able to connect to other visualization options for reporting.
