Many Saudi Arabian Oil Company organizations decided to benefit from PI applications by moving their applications – specifically operations applications – into PI. The reasons for that vary from saving hundreds of thousands of U.S. dollars to having in-house, easy-to-maintain applications. The presenter will start by explaining the way anybody using PI with other control systems should migrate any applications to PI, and will then demonstrate how. Two examples of migrated applications, Tank Monitoring and Line Pack of Sales Gas System Applications will be presented. A summary of future development directions will close the presentation. PI applications used are PI ACE, PI ModuleDB, PI ActiveView, PI-ProcessBook, and PI SDK.
