This presentation discusses AF2 and the plans for its continued development. AF2 is a hierarchical framework for organizing and structuring PI data in terms of assets. It supports integration of mulitle PI systems, as well as the incorporation of non-time series data. The features, architecture, best practices, and security of AF2 are discussed, along with a demo.

Frank Batke
Frank Batke is a senior OSIsoft engineer with experience in PI product consulting, installation, migration, support and training since 2001. He has expertise in PI 3.x, AF, Notifications, RtWebParts, ACE, Data Link, Process Book and an extensive background in programming languages, networking, operating systems, databases and diagnostic tools. Prior to joining OSIsoft he was responsible for technical applications in refining (including PI), public distribution networks and geographic information systems. He earned a university degree in chemical engineering, specialized in thermodynamics of TH, Merseburg in 1990.
